Will long layers make my hair look less thick?

Professionally I texturize curly wavy hair very differently than straight hair and not with a thinning shear. Find a good stylist who is good with curly hair. Generally I will layer your type of hair stacking up from the bottom, not trickling down from the top. You can always book a consultation prior to the actual cut and see what they have to say.
