What should i do with my relationship if i was semi-abused?

my boyfriend and i got in an argument outside of my house, my friends were there watching and i just wanted to get away from him and go inside then he pushed me pulled my arm very aggressively then hit me. i have no idea what to do i love him very much and we've been together for about 2 years. he's apologized and said it would never happen again, but i am still traumatized and don't know what i should do ? advice pleeease /:
